Responsibility thingy again…

I received a call today from the HR officer of the place that I went two weeks ago. She wanted me to give her the information of the reference contacts that I gave her in the interview. One of them was my last supervisor, he left my current company last December, but he left in good terms, I called him last week to check if I could use him as a reference and he said that I could count with him, so I expect him to give me a good “review”. The HR officer told me that she needed another reference, and I was not prepared for that, so I told her that I would call her later with the contact information. I don’t have anyone else to call, so I called the university to check if a professor could give me a reference, the secretary told me that none was available at the moment, but that I could go to the college tomorrow with a pre-made letter and all they have to do is sign it. Sooo, I called the HR bitch again to verify if that could be useful, and she told me that it was all right, and that I should fax that tomorrow ASAP.

And here comes the dilemma again. Yesterday I told one of my supervisors (yes I have many, MANY!!) that I would be late on Wednesday because I had a date with the dentist, not true, I was gonna be late because I had another interview at the “Camara de Comercio de Puerto Rico”, but I am not so sure about that job, anyway, I called the other HR officer and asked her if we could reschedule the interview, so now that interview is at 3:00PM, so, that means I have to miss work yet again!, three weeks in a row!, I feel so fucking irresponsible!

Anyway, tomorrow morning I’m going to Arecibo (ahh memories!) to hunt for a professor, fax the letter, come back to the metro Area, maybe have lunch with HIM, and then decide if that interview is worth it. I went to check the place, and is not bigger than this office, I checked the website, and they have only 24 employees, so that means I will be doing the same lame ass job that I do here but in a government office, with government benefits, government pay, and government work time…, hey!, its not that bad!, except for the pay…, nah, fuck that, I don’t want a fucking boring job, I might go to the interview, but if it turns out to be like what I do now, they can go and fuck themselves.

Wish me luck with the professors and the references! WISH ME LUCK DAMMIT!

Thank you.
