I found out about that in the rudest way possible, my bandwidth went from 256kbps to 56kbps and I had to call my ISP customer service to whine about the crappy service and it was there where they told me the awful, despicable and horrible news. They had just placed a cap for downloads, how cruel!, I mean, can you believe that?, that like totally sucks!…, oh fuck, I went blonde…
Well, it’s not that bad, I barely use my connection, and the reason I went over the cap was because I was seeding a .Torrent. I can safely download 500MB per day, thing that I don’t usually do, and still get a good service. Sooooo, for now I will allow all my current downloads to finish and I wont use any torrent software for this month to see what happens, If they limit my bandwidth again I will have to go ISP shopping. That would suck because there are not many to choose from, I don’t know if Adelphia have service on my area, and I would like to avoid the local phone company (PRT-Verizon) at all cost because I hate them, I hate their customer service and I HATE to wait for their technicians every time something brakes.

As you know from my last post, I am having problems with my ISP, not really problems but more like annoyances and in case you don’t know I am the kind of person that when find an annoyance in something I cut contact with that “something” off, or try to avoid it at all cost until it disappears from my life. So, in reaction for their action I called Adelphia to inquire if they have service on my area…, AND THEY DO!!!!, and now I am making plans to get rid of my NAZI ISP once and for all. With Adelphia I will get a WHOLE LOT more bandwidth than with these fuckers for a couple of bucks more, well, for $6 more to be exact. The only problem is that I am currently with a contract with “Those Fuckers” and it wont expire until a couple of months more so I don’t know if I should try Adelphia for a couple of months and that would imply having both services at the same time, I could also wait for a few months knowing that I am paying for an inferior service, or I could just pay for the expenses for terminating the service before the contract expired, with that last option I would feel better because they will know that I cut off their service because of their politics on bandwidth use so I will be making a point, anyway, is not like I would care what their reaction is going to be once I am gone.
