I love the City!

Yesterday I was bored as hell so I went to check my video games library and I found the reason I bought a new computer (well, it has two years now), Sim City 4. When the game first came out I was devastated because my old computer couldn’t run it, so, a few weeks later I went to a bank took a personal loan and bought the computer. Why the loan if I am a geek and geeks builds their computers?, because I wanted to build up my credit and that seemed like a very good opportunity to start. Anyway, the day I got the brand new computer I ran home, installed it and then went to the nearest Babbages to get my copy of the game, ran home again, installed it and started playing. After a few hours of play I got disappointed because when the population reached the 100K mark it would bring my brand new powerful computer to its knees. So I played for a few more weeks but got frustrated at the fact that I couldn’t build huge cities and stored the game away.
But since that time I made a few improvements to my machine, I added a whole more RAM plus a decent video card, among other things, and you know what?, THE GAME FUCKING FLIES!!!, so yesterday I got addicted to the game again, therefore, don’t expect to see me online very often because I will be in my huge virtual city making the live of its citizens a living hell. I am also desiring to immerse myself into a MMORPG like Shadowbane ,Warcraft or Ultima Online, but judging by my experience in that last game I mentioned, Ultima Online, I better stay away from those games, once you get addicted to them you loose all your social life for good.
The biggest mistake of my life?
Yesterday I made what could be possible the biggest mistake of my life. I gave my phone number to my BF’s butch friend (Spanish link). That girl is somewhat nice, but sometimes we have LOTS of friction because our personalities conflict a LOT. I am TRIYING to make amends and to force me to like her because after all she is one of my BF’s best friends, they went together to college and went through a lot together and I would hate that their friendship brakes because of me, so, as of now I will TRY to be a little more flexible and understanding with her…, but that doesn’t mean I will let her bitch at me…
Anyway, I need to be productive, so, off to work I go.

Do not force yourself into social situations just to please your boyfriend. It’s nice and all, but ultimately those kind of things have a way of fucking things up a bit more.

Popu está siendo un poco dramático, no es que tienes que de la noche a la mañana convertirte en su panita del alma, ni yo tampoco te estoy obligando. Es simplemente aprender a comprender y tener paciencia con ese especímen tan raro e incomprendido que es la bucha boricua (Lesbióticus Portorricensis).

No estoy siendo dramatico Kaiser. Es que lamentablemente uno no es un billete de $100 para caerle bien a todos. Sin contar de que antes Darkie habia descrito varias de sus experiencias que tuvo con tu amiga. Shit happens. O algo.

Es bueno aprender a compartir gustos y amistades con tu pareja. Yo antes ODIABA A MUERTE que mi marido se pasara horas muertas jugando AOE2, hasta que lo jugué por primera vez en noviembre del 99 y de ahí para acá, es algo que compartimos también. Claro, no todo en la vida es como jugar AOE2, pero hay gente que no le cae a uno muy bien que digamos, pero socializar no es ser panitas…
Si puedes tratar de que tu pareja no se sienta mal por situaciones incómodas sin sentirte presionado ni forzado a ello, haz lo que sientas. Pero porque viene de ti, no porque quieres complacer.
