Despues de conseguir trabajo viene el drama.

Thursday, August 28th, 2008

Jose,

I just wanted to drop you an email quick to let you know that BoneLink has decided not to utilize Gonosys Group to fill their open .NET position at this time. After a week of the manager not getting back to us on finding a replacement for you, he let us know that they are going in a different direction.

I cannot stress strongly enough how much I wish that you could have been up front with me about your desire not to take this position much sooner than the weekend before you were supposed to start. You had given me your assurances multiple times that you would be starting this position as we had agreed upon. I do not appreciate being told lies (ie. furniture movers EVERY day of the week coming/mobile phone is out of minutes when you have a Vonage account, etc.) and taken advantage of. I try to create a professional relationship with all of my candidates and treat them as I would like to be treated – I only wish you would have had that same point of view.

Regretfully, Genesys Group will not consider you as a candidate for any of our future positions in DFW and nationwide, given your conduct in pursuing this opportunity.

I wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors.

A lo que le respondo:

Nick,

I am terribly sorry that Bonelink has decided not to use the services of Gonosys Group to fill their .NET position at this time. But I don’t think a company like Bonelink would decide to break contact with your company just because one candidate decided not to work there. For this to happen there must have been other factors or other disappointments or just the economy that is not good enough for them to hire a company to find a person for their position.

I stated to you many times that I recently moved from Puerto Rico and had no furniture in my apartment, I was not lying when I said that I would have deliveries all week. Neither was I lying when I told you that my cell phone ran out of minutes, I never mentioned Vonage because I don’t have their service, I mentioned Skype, but I cant carry the computer with me all the time to use it.

I was up front with you, but after we talked on Friday I received an offer that was better than Bonelink’s, and it covered some ground that I was interested in working, with better economical compensations and better employee packages. I was not expecting this offer but neither could I refuse it. I am also sorry that your company will not represent me on any future project, since they would benefit from my expertise, but that is fine because there are plenty other companies that will appreciate my business.

I don’t really understand why you sent me this email as it serves no real purpose to you or me and it can be viewed as harassment on your part, and I suspect none of your superiors knows about this email as this is hardly a professional response from a recruiting company.

I wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors.
